The Warmth of Giving
Paratherm is known for its service and delivery of premium heat transfer fluid. The company has been in business for more than 30 years, serving multiple industries worldwide.
But recently, Paratherm’s workers discovered the personal rewards that come from donating their time and talents to help others in their community. Paratherm assembled a team of volunteers to help the Philadelphia area Cradles to Crayons Giving Factory.
Cradles to Crayons is a non-profit organization dedicated to children up to age 12 who live in homeless or low-income situations. The organization provides kids with the essential items they need to thrive, things like clothing, school supplies, books and toys.
Paratherm’s Global Marketing Leader Gabriella Giammarco heads Paratherm’s community outreach program. She says she and her colleagues did not expect to get something in return for their time at the Giving Factory. “This was an eye-opening experience for us,” Giammarco says. “It makes us grateful for what we have and what we can provide our children. We were honored to contribute our time to help our community.”
“We put together outfit packs for thousands of kids, shirts, pants, socks, underwear and pajamas. These kids need the basics, things we may take for granted. They need shoes that fit, coats to stay warm, backpacks to carry books and supplies to school. Our team worked on a project to help 30-thousand children in the Philadelphia area. The sheer number of kids in need is humbling.”
Paratherm’s team has made a couple of trips to the Giving Factory. The outreach was so successful, Paratherm will be branching out to help other non-profit organizations in the near future.
“It’s that kind of commitment that distinguishes Paratherm,” adds Giammarco. “You see it in the support we provide our customers and our service to every educational aspect of our business. We really do want to be a solution. So it’s a great feeling to share that commitment with those in need in our community.”
